Aims & Scope
The British Journal of Finance (BJF) aims to publish high-quality and original research in finance, accounting, economics, and business administration, including both theoretical and empirical studies. The journal welcomes papers that address current and emerging topics, such as innovation, sustainability, and artificial intelligence. In addition, studies related to marketing, management, and organizational behavior are encouraged when they intersect with financial research. BJF prioritizes original manuscripts that make significant contributions to the field, particularly those grounded in rigorous empirical research.
The Editorial Board is dedicated to ensuring a timely and constructive review process. To achieve this, the journal implements an active desk rejection policy, where a substantial number of submissions may be declined without undergoing a detailed review. This approach helps reduce the workload on reviewers and ensures that published work meets the highest scientific standards.
Editors will recuse themselves from handling submissions from authors affiliated with their own institution, current or former collaborators, former PhD students or supervisors, close friends, or family members. Additionally, editors will avoid managing manuscripts that directly compete with their own work or present a financial conflict of interest.
